Rumor hath it that Internet search monolith Google Inc. is weighing the acquisition of Cambridge-based Brightcove Inc. According to a report on the Boston Business Journal Web site, Google is reportedly considering paying between $500 million and $700 million for the Internet TV service.

Harvard woes lead to clawbacks

Harvard University is making significant changes following an $11 billion, or 27 percent, decline in its endowment, the Boston Globe reports.
Among those the paper cited, citing a Harvard Management Co. report: Some fund managers are being forced to return bonuses they were awarded following stellar performance in prior years.
